Sookie (formerly River) is back at GRRF because her family is moving and sadly can’t take her with them. Sookie is a sweet and loving girl, who loves kids and other dogs.

Sookie is such a joy to have around. She has fabulous house manners and listening skills. She spends most of her days lounging on the couch or goofing off with canine friends! Her current family says she’s very patient with children, and if an unknown adult comes into the house with kids, she won’t bark. However, she’s a big dog and not very “body aware” so there is a chance she could knock a small child over in her excitement (but she always apologizes).

She does have a good handle on most basic obedience skills, but her family should still consider enrolling in an obedience class just to help solidify that bond with their new pup! Sookie’s ideal home is with an active family that enjoys lots of adventures balanced out with a long nap afterwards! She dreams of a home with a large couch, lots of toys, and a furry friend or two!
