Buddy is an 8 year young, neutered male Golden Retriever.  He came in with his house mate Milo.  Recently both their owners pasted away and family had been caring for them but no one can permanently keep them.  Buddy has had a complete Veterinary work up to include blood work and radiographs.  He is in amazing health.  His foster mom has these kind things to say about him.

Buddy is a reserved (not exuberant) golden.  He holds back on connecting and bonding with you until he trusts you.  But once you mesh, he is yours. His ultimate show of affection is when he “mouths” you.  He doesn’t do it often and it is not a habit for him.  Only when he is truly showing affection for you he will take your fore arm very gently in his mouth.  I think it is a sign of respect from him as well.  He is soooo gentle about it-no teeth at all.  He can be a bit stubborn, but not so much that it is truly bothersome.  He gets along great with everyone here, loves to ride in the car and go for a walk.  He does not need a lot of exercise, but likes the daily walk.  He is very calm in the house and prefers to just hang out with you.
