Sam is a 4 month old male, Golden Retriever/Labrador cross from the Nome Animal Shelter.  He and his brother Luke were relinquished two weeks apart to the shelter.  They came from a litter of 11 puppies and were all placed.  As is often the case with puppies, some families found puppyhood too much and relinquished them to the shelter.  The breeders were notified and they helped pay for the puppies vaccinations prior to their flight.  Sam is the smallest of the litter and Luke is the biggest.  There are almost 20 pounds difference between the two.  Both are now neutered and tattooed.  Sam is just a sweetheart and very quick to learn.  These pictures were taken in Nome and Sam is now an inside dog.  He did exceptionally well in fostercare and is currently on trial with a family with children that had missed out on some of the past dogs and was very ready for a young pup and his is doing great!!
