Magic is a 1 year old, Lab and Chessie cross.  He originally came from the animal shelter as a puppy and was adopted out to a very nice family.  Magic began to become a teenager and became too much for his owners.  He is extremely good with other dogs and knows sit, down, stand, come but needs a refresher for heal.  We are working with him.  His owners just didn't have the time to take him to class and work on being a teenager.  In foster care Magic has been stellar.  He is very good in the house and crates well.  He has been with many other dogs and had a great time playing.  He has had one foster family but while on vacation his foster family took him to Holy Dog Ranch and Kennels and he had a wonderful time playing with Roxanne in doggie daycare.  Magic is active and loves to retrieve.  He is good in the house but he is a young retriever and has a lot of energy. He is NOT hyper but needs a home that can excercise his body and his mind.  Magic is a very bright dog and learns very quickly.  Like a chessie he is cautious of harsh corrections and needs a soft touch but a consistent one.  He attaches to one person the most.  The Lab side of him helps him to quickly overcome shyness and then have a great time with anything he is doing.  Magic would probably make a great hunting companion as well as loving family member.  His hips are great and he is in excellent shape.  Magic will devote himself to you and keep you under his spell!
