LOUIE

I'M AVAILABLE!!

Louie is a 4 yr old, neutered male, black Lab cross.  He is very funny and comical.  He and Copper were relinquished from a very kind couple that needed to find them a new home where they can get more attention and playtime.  Both are great, loving dogs!

PACHO

I'M AVAILABLE!!

Pacho is a very young and healthy 10 year old, purebred, neutered male, Golden Retriever.  He was relinquished to the local animal shelter because he got into the neighbors trash and was vomiting and had diarrhea.  The shelter got him the veterinary attention he needed and he was better within days.  Now all better, Pacho is an exceptional Golden.  He is in great health and perfect with other dogs, children and cats.  He is a big, love with great manners.

COPPER

I'M AVAILABLE!!

Copper is a 4 year old, spayed female Setter/Retriever cross to our best guess.  She is exceptionally kind and easygoing.  She likes to play with other dogs and knows basic commands well. 

DUKE

I'M AVAILABLE!!

3 yr old yellow lab neutered male.  Is working obedience skills.  Very good with other dogs.  Owner is allergic too.

HUNTER 3

I am back and available.  Hunter is a almost 5 yrs old, neutered male, gorgeous yellow Lab and a GRRF return.  He was adopted two years ago.  His owner now has a busy job that takes him out of town and Hunter and Morgan are being boarded a lot.  He is fostering them until a new home with more time for them can be found.  Hunter is a big, fit lab at 93 pounds.  He loves to retrieve and is a bit of a clown.  He has personality plus and is a very happy boy!

BUTTERBALL

I'M AVAILABLE!!

I am back and available.  Butter is very calm and laid back.  He gets along with everyone, dogs, kids and new things.  Nothing seems to bother him.  He likes to go for walks, but doesn’t need a bunch of exercise.  I have been walking him loose and he sticks close and comes when called.  Mostly he likes to hang out with you, get an occasional ear and face rub and maybe a belly rub. He doesn’t need  to be crated and can be trusted alone at home all day.   Butter would make a great companion for someone who just wants to hang out with a dog friend.

2yr old spayed female, Lab boxer cross.   Very calm and kind.  Does submissively pee at new people but we are working with.  Has great manners and obedience. 

PIPER

Piper is a 1 1/2 year old purebred female chocolate lab. Piper is good with other dogs and settles nicely in the house.  She is a true lab with lots of energy and enthusiasm.  She is crate trained and knows the basic commands along with going to her mat. 

JoJO

I'M ON TRIAL

JoJo is a 5 year old, spayed female, blue Heeler/Lab cross.  She was relinquished due to her family moving to another country.  It was very hard for them to do as they had moved with her before but due to circumstances they had to leave her.  She was very well cared for and loves.  She was very good with their two year old daughter.  Jo is a very loyal and intelligent dog.  She gets along well her foster mom's three dogs.  She knows all basic commands and is a very good house dog. Great dog!!

MOOSE

I'M ADOPTED!!

Moose is a 1 year old Lab/Newfie cross.  He is big, kind and gentle.  He came to GRRF because his original owners were moving out of state and they gave him to some friends.  He had an injury to his femoral head that damaged his growth plate and his other hip was dysplastic.  He was is pain and very lame on the injured leg.  The new family could not take on the extra medical expense.  GRRF took Moose to see Dr. Stuve and Dr. Cole at Aurora Animal Clinic where Dr. Cole preformed a bilateral FHO.  Moose recovered quickly and went to rehab in fostercare.  His surgery was at the end of Nov 2011.  Moose is now almost fully recovered.  He is exceptionally kind and easy going.  He is pain free and can run and play.  Moose would make and excellent therapy dog!!

SEAMUS

I'M ADOPTED!!

Seamus is a 4 1/2 year old, Lab/Border Collie mix. He looks like a Lab with a Tuxedo on!  Seamus has comes with lots of "bells and whistles", he is very obedient and great in the house.  He is used to a crate or can be trusted loose too.  He has excellent recall and is extremely smart. Seamus is very loyal and adoring.  His one "quirk" is that when he is done with love and attention he will give a light growl to say thanks but I am all done. For that he would be best with older children.  He gets along with most dogs very well and loves to play.  This is a GREAT DOG!

MOE

I'M ADOPTED!!

Maggie and Moe are 15 month old siblings.  They look like Border Collies but the Dad was a purebred Springer Spaniel and the Mom is a rough coated Collie (Lassie type).  The owner has the parents and kept these too from a litter of 11.  Now they are worried that they do not have enough time and attention to give to Maggie and Moe.  Both dogs are spayed and neutered and their hips have been x-rayed and look great.  They are very sweet natured and smart.  They love kids and get along well with other pets.  They can be adopted separately or together.  Maggie likes to "talk" when excited but is the snuggler of the two.  Moe is quiet and can be more shy but very endearing.  They are beautiful!

CHANCE

I'M ADOPTED!!

Chance is a 7 year young, neutered Golden Retriever.  He is big, tall golden at 107 pounds.  He is slightly overweight but really just a big dog.  He is comical in his nature and he gets along well with other dogs.  His owner was working very long shifts and just wasn't home enough for him.  Chance has had a complete vet check done and he is in amazing shape. His owner took very good care of him. They got him from a breeder as a pup so he has had only one home.  He is getting long, off leash walks daily with his foster mom and he loves it. Funny golden with personality!

SADIE 11

I'M ADOPTED!!

Sadie is a 7 year young, spayed female black lab. She was relinquished by her owner who had for a few years.  Sadie is very good with children, cats and other dogs.  She is calm and adoring.  She has had a complete vet check done to include bloodwork for her thyroid.  He coat is dry (but shiny) and she is slightly overweight.  Her old owner did a great job getting her weight down from 107 to 85.  Her bloodwork is pending but if she needs thyroid supplements, they are very inexpensive.  Sadie is a "love" of a lab!!  So kind!

BRONX

I'M ADOPTED!!

Bronx is a 10 month old, neutered male, black Lab mix.  He is a smaller size lab is a very sweet natured.  He is still a pup so he needs structure and patience.  He loves other dogs and is learning his basic commands in foster care with a positive reenforcement dog trainer.  Bronx is doing great!  He was relinquished to the shelter because the family didn't realized how much time and energy it takes to raise a silly, fun loving little lab that likes to dig up the neighbors flowers. :)

CHARLIE BROWN

I'M ADOPTED!!

Charlie is a little 50 pound lab mix.  We suspect Springer Spaniel.  He looks like a little chocolate lab with a white blaze on his chest and a 3/4 tail.  Charlie was left in the shelter cages.  He was very afraid and didn't show himself well at the shelter.  The shelter animal tender called GRRF to see if he would do better in foster care and he did.  The shelter did a great job seeing the potential in Charlie.  He was a different dog in a home.  Charlie is extremely loving and well mannered.  He knows basic commands and is good with other dogs, kids and cats.

LUCAS

I'M ADOPTED!!

Lucas is a 2 year old, now neutered, Golden Retriever. He came from the Matsu Animal Shelter as a stray.  His owners were located but they could not keep him. Lucas is a big puppy with loads of potential.  He is smart and very happy. He has the perfect golden personality.  He adores everything and everybody. 

JACK 11

I'M ADOPTED!!

Jack is a 1 1/2 year old, now neutered male, Golden Retriever.  He was relinquished due to a deployment.  He has been well trained and cared for.  Jack walked in the Golden Days Parade and thought the whole crowd was there to see him!! He even made it on T.V.  Jack was adopt right away to family that has another GRRF dog from us to play with. 

SADIE 10

I'M ADOPTED!!

Sadie is an English Golden Retriever.  She is almost white in color.  She was being used and a breeding dog for a service dog program.  However, when in heat, Sadie was not her normal self and got a little grumpy with the dogs in training.  Sadie has a nice line and AKC papers but her breeding days are over and she will soon be spayed. In foster care, she is getting along just fine with everyone but she is a week or two post heat so her personality is coming back to normal. The program and the breeder in Texas have entrusted GRRF to find Sadie a very special home.  She is getting her vet check done this week and will be spayed next week. 

MORGAN

I'M ADOPTED!!

Morgan is a 5 year old, spayed female, chocolate Lab.  She is Hunter's buddy.  Morgan is very calm and well behaved.  She is the snuggler of the two.  She likes to steal the ball after Hunter retrieves it.  Morgan knows all basic commands and is very good in the house and with other dogs.  She is a big, fit Lab at 83 pounds. 

KINA

I'M ADOPTED!!

Kina is a 5 year old, spayed female, black lab.  She was relinquished by a family that moved from out of state but they could not find a place that took pets and move into an apartment.  Kina was well taken care off and raised.  She has perfect manners and is extremely obedient and well behaved.  She loves kids and all people.  She gets along well with other dogs but really wants to be with people most.  Very lovely lab!

ANUK

I'M ADOPTED!!

Anuk was a 11 week old pup from Delta rescue, Friends 4 Pets.  He was found on a trail abandoned.  The Delta rescue had him for a few weeks before transporting him to Fairbanks to GRRF.  Here he had a home waiting.  Anuk is extremely well loved and behaved.  His new owner has taken him to two puppy classes and he is now almost 5 months and such a great dog!  Now that he is bigger we think he is a Lab/Shep mix.
