Skittles is a 9 1/2year old, spayed female black Labrador. She was found as a stray and stayed her time at the animal shelter last summer. Skittles was adopted by her foster mom who absolutely adores her. However, she has 5 big dogs and is becoming overwhelmed. She would like to see Skittles get a home where there is not so much competition for attention. Her fostermom had these wonderful things to say about Skittles: Skittle would do well in just about any household: kids of any age, other dogs, cats, even free-flying pet birds - she accepts them all. She could be in a bustling family or with a single older person. However, a place that can give her the right amount of attention would be the best for her! As she has had a life of being mostly left to her own devices, she loves being petted - but never is in your face about it. You can just see her face and body changing to "smiles all over." Skittles would probably make a great Companions, Inc dog...!!! She also loves, better: LOVES walks and rides in a car. She is great to take on errands as she doesn't mind waiting for you in the car. She walks well off-leash, not running away. She enjoys running in and out of trees and bushes so a safe forest or so would be a great place to take her. She doesn't chase anything but will want to visit with other dogs - and she is always a lady about that. Skittles is a diplomat and peace keeper when it comes to other dogs in her household or even in the dog park. She has been known to nip an argument before it even starts. Given the right dog she will get to "rough housing" with him or her wonderfully, without ever letting it get out of hand. Most of the time Skittles just enjoys lying in her favorite spot and watch the world go by. Contact us at our email, info@grrf.org |
