Oro is a 9 year old, neutered male, golden retriever with epilepsy. Oro was relinquished by his family to GRRF a few weeks ago. Oro primarily lived in a large indoor/outdoor kennel attached to the garage. He was chained outside sometimes and he nipped their three year old son while momentarily unattended. We have recently gotten him neutered and have readjusted him to being in the house. Oro has been a dream in fostercare. He loves and craves attention constantly but really enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along with all dogs we have introduced him to. This includes small dogs and puppies. We have found Oro to be incredibly patient and an extremely well behaved gentleman. We would like to place him in a home without small children but he seems to adore older children 10 years or older. Oro is very quiet and doesn't bark or chew. He is completely housebroken and is very good while left alone. This is a gorgeous golden boy with lots of curls. Oro's vet check went very well. He is in amazing health. His hips are excellent, his weight is perfect and all his bloodwork is normal. He takes a low dose of Phenobarbital twice a day (very easily) and has not had a seizure in years. This boy has so much to offer and has been a dream to work with and see him blossom into such a great dog. He loves sleeping in the house but will also go into a kennel on command. GREAT DOG!!
