Mackey is a 1 1/2 yr old golden retriever cross from out of town.  He was found as a stray and a police officer from the bush brought him to Fairbanks to GRRF.  Mackey has been a stray for a while but still very friendly and really wants to trust someone.  His foster family really raved about him.  Their best description was that he was a "clean slate".  He doesn't know much but is very willing to try and to please.  He is very easy going and adores other animals.  He has very good dog social skills and is learning all the basics about sit, down and healing on leash.  His vet check went very well and he is now neutered, tattooed, vaccinated, groomed and his hips have been x-rayed and look very good.  Mackey is a very tall and leggy boy.  We are unsure what he is crossed with as his golden genes dominate and he looks mostly all golden retriever and sure has the right disposition.  This is a wonderful dog and we are so grateful to those folks that found him, took him in and to the police officer that flew in with him to see him get a good home.
