April 25, 2005   UPDATE

Hunter is still available and quite frankly we are stumped.  This is a great dog with an amazing attitude.  We have shown him to a few families but they were all looking for an older, laid back golden.  Hunter thinks his about 3 years old and no one is going to tell him otherwise.  He is in amazing shape and loves to retrieve.  He is so settled in the house now and quite a good gentleman with outstanding manners.  He gets along very well with other dogs and loves to go for a walk.  His foster family had been walking him daily and taking him to a local dog park for excerise.  He is a gem of a dog and just adores whoever he is with.  Please give this boy a look and a second chance.  We promise you won't be disappointed!!!  However, a tall fence is a must for him as he can jump a fence from a standing position.  No arthrititis here!!!

Hunter is a simply gorgeous dark gold Golden Retriever with AKC papers.  He is 11 yrs old and has been with one family his whole life but recently his owner had to move many times and for the past 8 months he has been at a family members house tied outside.  Hunter is a very active and vibrant senior golden.  He had had is Vet. check done and neutered.  His bloodwork, hip, chest and abdomen radiographs looked excellent except for the big rock he had in his stomach that had to be surgically removed.  He is healing very well and loves to carry a toy in his mouth at all times.  He is very good with other dogs and even cats!
He is doing very well in fostercare as an inside dog and loving it!
