Tanner is a 3-4 year old retriever cross possibly lab/shepard cross. He is neutered and his hips are x-rayed and look great. Tanner was originally adopted from a family a year ago from the Animal Shelter and since then has developed epilepsy. GRRF assisted the family with medication and he is easily regulated and on daily Phenobarbital at a low dose. His medication is very affordable and his blood work looks normal. Epilepsy is not uncommon in retrievers and we have had four this year. Tanner's family relinquished him due to an unfortunate lack of time that anyone was home. They have busy schedules and he is alone for long periods. Tanner is very calm and real gentleman. He is extremely good in the house and does not get on the furniture. He loves a good dog bed and snuggles right in. He is very friendly and we took Tanner to Petco for an adoption booth and he thought he was the official WALMART (PETCO) greeter! His tail never stops wagging. This is a very endearing and sensitive fellow that deserves a home that understands how lucky they are to have such a well mannered and kind dog.
