     Shadow Bear is a 2 1/2 yr old Golden Ret./Collie or Sheltie cross.  He was originally from the FNSB Animal Shelter as a young adult last winter and lived on post.  He was picked up as a stray on post and his owner notified but they did not come for him.  The Ft. Wainwright Vet Clinic held Shadow for more that three weeks and took very good care of him and even took him to the Dog Park on the weekends!!  They asked for GRRF to help place this very sweet natured dog.  He is still a young dog and loves to play.  He has very good social skills and know sit and down.  He is learning come and leash work in foster care.  He loves to carry things in his mouth like a golden and parade them in front of you.  He cannot greet you without something to "give you".

  10/10/06 Shadow Bear was adopted to a very nice couple with lots of time and attention to give to him.  He is enrolled in obedience class and is doing just great!
