3/05/07 Serena was a stray left at our local Animal Shelter.  She stayed her stray time and GRRF came to get her.  She was very dirty and matted and hardly looked like a Golden but under all the grime there was a beautiful and loving Golden Retriever.  We estimate that she is about 1.5 years of age and is now spayed, vaccinated, tattooed, microchip and her hips have been x-rayed.  Serena was very underweight and bloodwork was run and found to be normal.  Serena quickly put on weight and loved her bath and grooming.  Serena quickly went to a young couple that had been waiting for a Golden like her and she has been as close to perfect as you can ask a young dog to be.  They adore her and quickly just adopted her as they knew she was just the dog they were looking for.  Now in a loving home and with some weight on, her coat growing, she is gorgeous dog!
