RILEY

9/23/07  Riley is a 7 year old, neutered male, yellow Labrador Retriever.  He came from our local Animal Shelter and was a favorite of the tenders there.  Being an older dog they called GRRF to see if we would take Riley in.  Riley received his complete vet check at Aurora Animal Clinic and all his bloodwork and radiographs are normal.  He had two fatty tumors that were removed as well.  We found two microchips in Riley and they led to a Vet Clinic in Eagle River and an old owner who's numbers are no longer good.  The other chip led to the Matsu Shelter where he was a stray and his owner picked him up.  Then three months later he was picked up again as a stray and adopted out to Wetland Retriever Rescue in Wasilla who placed him a home in Anchorage.  All of this occurred in 2004 and we believe the family had Riley since and then were moving and found him a home with the family from Fairbanks that took him to the Fairbanks Animal Shelter after having him for two months because he wouldn't play with their young toddlers.  It is hard to believe the list of families this sweet natured, loving Lab has been through.  In fostercare, Riley is as dear as can be.  He gets along very well with other dogs and cats too.  He has loads of personality and is very good in the house alone.  He adores people and is very very friendly. Because of this Riley has rolled with the flow all these years but really needs and deserves a permanent "forever" home.
