December 3 , 2004: Reba is an 8yr old cocker/golden retriever cross. She is spayed and has had an extended veterinary exam. Her hips have been x-rayed and look great. She has had bloodwork and is up to date on vaccines, wormed and tattooed. Reba was left at the Animal Shelter when her owners went out of town. They thought she was "too old". Reba is a total sweetheart and very dear to other animals. She is a little nervous in new situations and after a few days is fine and relaxed. She is very very adoring and affectionate. She is just the right size and looks like a mini golden with "doey" eyes. She can play bow and act silly but really likes to snuggle in the couch and sleep on the bed.
Reba was adopted to her adoring foster family. They are a wonderful couple that adopted a cocker/ golden cross from us years ago that was tragically killed by a speeding neighbors truck while walking with her owner and resident 9 yr old golden. They were devastated and contacted us for another dog to foster and fill the void that Minute has left. Reba came along and needed what this couple had so much to give. They were very patient with her being nervous at first and now she is very comfortable and adores then as much as they adore her. Both dogs get along beautifully. Although the loss of Minute was huge this family had the capacity to give another dog a home in her honor.
