November Update from Ozzy's New Family: We have a very special and wonderful new addition to our family – Ozzy! What a sweetie! He loves to be with us wherever we are! His favorite activities are: getting belly and ear rubs, romping with his adoptive sister, Rikki (almost 2 year old golden), playing fetch, running free in the enclosed field with his new dog friends, playing tug of war with Rikki, going for car rides, getting brushed. He is never far from his human family and follows us about contentedly, lying at our feet while we eat, watch TV, or work at the computer. He (and Rikki) especially enjoy waking each family member up in the morning with kisses and play on the bed. Ozzy enjoys his new pillow, but does sneak a nap on Rikki’s when she is sleeping on his! He has joined Rikki at her basic obedience class and is doing very well. There is nothing better than coming home to Rikki and Ozzy kisses, wagging tails, and gifts of gloves or socks, or whatever they find to bring to you! Thank you, Susan and GRRF, for bringing wonderful Ozzy to us. October 6, 2004: The Fairbanks Animal Shelter assisted in Ozzy's rescue by transferring Ozzy to GRRF. Ozzy is a beautiful, light-colored purebred golden retriever who was relinquished on Monday by owners who had provided excellent care and loving for him. Ozzy will turn 1-year old this month. Ozzy is athletic and energetic, yet well behaved. He lives to have fun! Ozzy is now neutered and x-rayed, too (great hips). He is tattooed and up to date on vaccines. He is a big love and adores people. |
