      Maverick is a GRRF return from Dec 05, he was Maxwell Smart.  Maverick is a 10 month old Labrador/shep. cross.  He is longer than he is tall and a little pudgy but in a very cute way.  Maverick was originally a stray from the Animal Shelter.  GRRF placed him and he was in an obedience class.  Maverick has had some issues about being alone.  GRRF tried to help but the family thought it best to place him in a family with someone home more.  Maverick is slowly being acclimated to a crate and short periods of a time.  Loose in the house when someone is home is no problem for Mav, but alone, he is still a puppy and still chews.  Maverick is actually a very calm and extremely sweet natured dog.  He would make a great kids dog as you can do anything to him and he adores any and all attention.  Maverick has very good house manners and loves playing with other dogs.  We like to call Maverick the "dog that loves too much".  He just follows you around and wants to be near you.  He is not a pest and does not beg for attention but he likes to play your shadow.  Maverick needs a patient home that will embrace all the wonderful attributes this kind dog has and work through his chewing phase.
