            MARIA

8/1/08  Maria was adopted to a very nice couple 1 1/2 years ago.  Now they have a new baby that Maria does very well with but the baby is allergic to her.  They have tried having Maria shaved to have less hair and dander but it isn't working for the baby.  They are fostering Maria but she is limited to a separate place in the house. Her owners are available for any questions about her.  She is great in the house, loves to go for walks and adores car rides.   She can still be bossy with some dogs and get along with others.  Easy going males are her favorite.

Maria is a 4 year old, spayed female, Irish Wolfhound/Golden Ret. cross.  She was originally adopted from the local Animal Shelter were she was left with a litter of puppies.  She was adopted by a worker at the Shelter that fell in love with her but she fosters kittens for the shelter and Maria is a little too interested in them.  She likes to chase them and carry them in her mouth.  She means them no harm but for safety reasons her owner thought a home with no cats would be best.  Maria is tall but much smaller that an Irish Wolfhound at only 66 pounds.  Maria is very kind and calm.  She knows sit, down and she can "sit pretty".  She is very quiet in the house and has great house manners.  She is good with other dogs but likes to be the boss.  She would do best with an easy going male dog.  She is very playful and acts younger that her age as she loves to run and play in the yard.
