Marge, Homer, Maggie and Lisa are 8 week old Labrador Retriever puppies from the Homer Animal Shelter.  Their mom was a purebred black Lab and dad was ?.

All eleven puppies look Lab and all were black.  Marge is very playful but loves to snuggle and craves attention.   The Animal Shelter in Homer has a great spay and neuter program for Homer so they rarely get in puppies and such a big litter along with another litter of 9 husky puppies was just too many.  They were wonderful to work with.  Thank you Sherry at the Homer Shelter for all that you do!!!  The Animal Control Officer from Soldotna drove to pick up the puppies and took them to Anchorage, where our volunteer extraordinare, Erin Myers and her patient husband Robert, babysat the four puppies until their flight that evening on Frontier Flying Service.  The pups arrived happy and playful and seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed their adventures of the day.  All have now been vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and tattooed.  These are very sweet natured and well rounded puppies.  It is very hard to pick out a favorite and they are learning house manners beautifully.  Our exceptional puppy foster family the Pauley's are working their loving magic with these puppies and they are getting loads of dog and people socialization.
