"LENA"

    Lena is a 2 year old female Golden Retriever.  She and her two puppies Bristol and Jill came from Galena.  Lena had been through a few homes and ended up pregnant and had 10 puppies of which one pasted away.  Some very kind folks were keeping tract of Lena and her puppies and her owner decided to relinquish her and her last two puppies to them and they relinquished them to GRRF.  We have had six other golden's in the past from Galena but none as light as Lena.  Frontier Flying Service donated a flight for the girls and we very much appreciate them!  Lena is a very kind and loving dog with all the best personality traits to a golden.  Her puppies were about 7 weeks and she had some frostbite to her nipples so the puppies were well weaned.  Lena is now spayed and her hips were x-rayed and look great.  She is in great shape and so good with her puppies and other dogs.  She is just a pup herself and plays well with everything. 

     Lena is on trial with a loving family whose young golden pasted away from kidney failure at 4 years of age.  Lena is very patient with their young children but there are some allergies in the family so she will be on trial until they can be assured the allergies do not cause a problem.
