11/27/07  Kelsey was sadly returned from her adoptive home of over a year. She was adored at first but recently with the birth of a third child and a husband deploying, they find little time for Kelsey.  They reluctantly returned her in hopes she can receive a family that can give Kelsey the time and attentions she so

deserves.  Kelsey loves to walk herself on a walk and carries her own leash.  She is extremely well behaved and very good with children.  She is active and still her adoring self.  Her foster parents can't say enough wonderful things about her.

5/30/06 Kelsey is a lovely female Golden Retriever mix (possibly border collie) that is about 5 years of age.  Kelsey was found by a very kind lady that found her owners in her neighborhood but they did not want Kelsey.  Kelsey had been spent some time outside tied under a staircase for shelter.  The neighbor had Kelsey for a week with her dogs, cats and small children and she was great.  She could not keep her and relinquished her to the FNSB Animal Shelter in hopes she would find a good home.  Because of Kelsey's age and the shelter being very full, her time came up very soon.  GRRF adopted Kelsey and the neighbor emailed us information about her.  Kelsey has had an extensive Vet. workup to include, spay, bloodwork, hip, chest and abdomen radiographs all were normal and she is very healthy.  In foster care, Kelsey is an outstanding house dog just like the neighbor said she was.  She is very kind with other dogs and plays well.  Kelsey bonds very quickly and loves to follow you around and look adoring at you.  She is very appreciative of any kindness bestowed upon her.  She knows how to sit and lay down and loves to ride in the car.  We are working on leash manners and she is a dream to work with.  Kelsey is a very enduring and pleasant dog that deserves a loving family that will appreciate what a special dog she is!!
