Joshua is a 5 1/2 month old, male, Golden Retriever. Joshua was living with a family that kept him chained up outside and had very little time for him. A kind friend of a friend got them to give Joshua to her and she relinquished him to GRRF. Joshua was shy and very afraid of strangers at first but quickly warmed up and has been blossoming since. He went to stay at our fabulous puppy foster home and had the chance to play with Domino for a week before he went home. Domino taught Joshua how to play like a pup and Josh had so much fun. In fostercare Joshua is part of the family and in the house. He thrives on attention and is very good with his house manners. He is crate trained and nearly completely housebroken. Joshua is now neutered, microchipped, tattooed, vaccinated and his hips are x-rayed and palpated. He left hip is great but his right hip has some luxation and needs to be watched for development of dysplasia. Another x-ray at a year would be recommended. Joshua is big boned golden and will be a big boy. He needs a gentle home as he still has moments of shyness in new situations but is getting better everyday. Positive training methods work very well with Joshua and he already knows, sit, stand, down, come and heel. Contact us at our email, info@grrf.org |
