4/20/07 Parker as he is called now, has been returned to GRRF but his adoptive family is fostering him until the perfect home can be found. They feel very bad. Parker is a great little dog. Three dogs is just too much for them. Parker loves to play with other dogs and has great social skills. He does still chew and needs to be watched. He is still a big puppy. However, the family took Parker and their one other dog through obedience class and he was superb. Parker has been around children of all ages and is exceptionally kind and sweet. He is a big fluff ball. His old family took him to the groomer and he is beautiful but has a lot of hair. 2/10/07 Joey is a 9 month old Golden Retriever cross. He was from the Matsu Animal Shelter as a stray. He and Sally were picked up by a wonderful volunteer in Palmer that drove her to Frontier Flying Service to catch a flight to Fairbanks by 4:30 on a weekday in Anchorage traffic! Joey had his vet check done and was then neutered and tattooed and his hips checked out fine. Joey was adopted quite quickly to a loving family with another dog to play with. Joey is now Parker and is in our local obedience class and is doing great! Parker is a very smart and loving little retriever. He always has a smile on his face and very well behaved!
