Happy Ending Update 9/6/04: Dear GRRF,         We adopted Flo & Jet in February.  We had recently lost one dog to cancer, the other was (and is) 15.  My husband has an injured back, is in pain all the time, and pretty much housebound.  Flo & Jet are his daily companions, and you couldn't ask for much better ones!!!!!  They are very good pups.  They mind well (usually), are very loving, and always ready to play.  When I come home from work, they are so glad to see me, although I know my husband has been with them ALL day.  We have had a great summer with them, playing in the yard, learning the crab apple tree is not a tug of war toy, swimming in the gravel pit almost every day, and just enjoying the weather.  As we head into winter, we look forward to playing in the snow.   Thank you for allowing us to adopt them,  they are the perfect puppies!                                                                                                                             Sincerely,                                                                                                                             Toni 

Jet (male) and Flo (female) are 13 week old black labrador retriever crosses that came to us from Metlakatla on Wednesday, Jan. 21.  These two were strays on the island and two kindly rescuers took them in four weeks ago and have been trying to get them to us. They are very social and good natured. Both Flo and Jet will have vet checks and tattoos and be neutered and should be ready for new homes the last week in January.   These two are sweethearts and deserve loving families to spoil them.
