9/20/07 Hunter was sadly returned to GRRF. Her adoptive family really adored her but her running off was starting to cause problems. Hunter has a long history of liking to run around. We are working on retraining her with a long line. Hunter needs a fenced yard that she cannot jump out of. In foster care with a six foot chain link fence, Hunter is perfect. She is fabulous with children and very good with other dogs too. Hunter acts much younger and is in very good physical shape. She loves to play and is one of those dogs that is just a little too smart for her own good. She is very fun and quite the comedian. She loves to make you smile and play with her. 10/22/06 Hunter is an 8 year young, spayed female Golden Retriever. Her owners got her out of the newspaper 4 years ago and are now moving and cannot afford to take her with them. Hunter has been very well cared for adored. This was a very difficult situation for them. Hunter is in great shape and her x-rays and bloodwork are all normal. She is a dark golden that had a haircut this past summer so her long leg and tail feathers have not grown back all the way yet. Hunter has a very outgoing personality and is extremely patient with children. She has been around young babies and toddlers and is great with them. She is good with other dogs but really just wants to be with people. She knows many commands, loves to go for car rides and adores a good walk. Her only bad habit is that if she is able to get away she loves a good game of "catch me if you can". Hunter will need a fenced yard to play and not worry about her run around time. Hunter has personality plus and is a great golden with brains to go with her beauty. Hunter comes with her toys ( which she loves to carry around), leash, bowls, kennel and food.
