7/31/07  Happy was being adopted and the family that has had him simply thinks he is best dog ever.  Two of the family members have allergies and that is why he has been on trial for nearly two months but they were very committed to making it work.  Sadly, the allergies are just getting the best of them and they sadly and reluctantly have returned Happy.  He comes with his big gorgeous bed and other stuff.  Happy is very good with every dog we have ever introduced him to.  He is a very kind and intelligent dog.  His owners say he was perfect in the house and they are available for any references or questions about Happy. 

5/1/07 Happy is a 2 year old black and tan Coonhound/Labrador Retriever cross.

He is neutered, microchipped, tattooed, vaccinated and his hip have been x-rayed and look great.  Happy is just like his name.....HAPPY!  His old owner got him as a pup and raised him in her home and he was crate trained.  She runs an adult daycare facility and Happy was too big and sometimes jumped up on them for attention. He is about 65 pounds.  She wanted him to go to a very good home that he could be out of his crate during the day. We have worked with Happy about his jumping and he is extremely smart.  He is very good in the house and completely housebroken.  He loves to play with other dogs and really enjoys their company.  He especially likes the attention of people.  He is quiet for anything with Coonhound in it but when he gets excited in play he will bay like the hound he is and it is very funny.  Otherwise he is very content to just chew his nylabone and sit at your feet.  He does not get up on furniture and knows to stay out of the kitchen.
