April 29, 2004: Ginger was adopted by a wonderful family in Eagle River--they were waiting for a girl just like her. Ginger does now have a middle-aged male golden brother. After she was able set the record that SHE was the boss (SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED) the two have been great friends and playmates. Her new family is very happy with her and has reported that Ginger has great manners and is so well behaved that she just fit right in! March 12, 2004: Ginger is a 3 1/2 yr old, spayed female Golden Retriever. She was relinquished by her owner because the newborn baby was terribly allergic. Ginger is from Anchorage and came to Fairbanks to get her vet check done. She is now updated on vaccines, wormed and tattooed. Her hips were x-rayed and they look great. Ginger is a very sweet Golden and has been around young children. She is however a little unsocial with other dogs. She is slowly getting used to her foster brother abd sister dogs. It is clear that she must be with very social and calm dogs, if she is adopted into a multi-dog family: Ginger is used to being the only dog and loves all the attention. She is fabulous in the house and quite a beautiful gal! March 31, 2004: Ginger had been on trial. Although her new family really liked Ginger, they decided to wait for a puppy. Ginger is now back up for adoption and needs a family were she can be the only dog or she likes housemates that are a bit calm to play with. She is a very well behaved and loving dog. |
