2/15/07  Emma Jean is a 8 year old female Golden Retriever.  She was relinquished by her owner due to the cost of an emergency surgery she needed.  Emma's uterus was infected and full of pus and she needed surgery right away to save her.  Her owner released her knowing that Dr. Lovely from the North Pole Veterinary Clinic had called us and we agreed to take Emma and pay for her surgery.  Emma's old owner had Emma back a few years ago from her divorced husband and her dog and Emma really didn't get along.  She had tried placing Emma in another home only to find that the family had her tied outside.  She took her back and made the best of the situation.  Now given the opportunity for her to find a new home she agreed.  She left a beautiful four page letter all about Emma and her life.  Dr. Lovely and her team did a great job with Emma and she was ready to go to a foster home the day after surgery.  Emma has stayed in a loving foster home until her blood counts have come back to normal and she is now off medication.  She has had a home waiting for her Anchorage that adopted a older golden from us four years ago.  She has been looking for little female golden like Emma for two years.  She is very excited to see Emma this week.
