Emma is a very beautiful middle aged, spayed female Golden Retriever. She was picked up as a stray in Palmer and waited her stray time at the Mat-Su Animal Shelter. GRRF adopted her from there and she came back to us on the plane with one of our volunteers. Emma is estimated to be 6-9 years of age. She has had a full Veterinary check up. Her blood work and thyroid are all normal, she has had radiographs of her chest, abdomen and hips and all are normal. She is a very dear and kind creature with lots of love to go around. She charms everyone she meets and is such a well behaved dog.
We adopted Mariss from you in August. We had thought we did not want a dog much older than about three (she was six). We are so pleased you had us consider Mariss. What a dream dog! She still has plenty of energy when You want her to play, run. etc. but she does not have the boundless, (dare I say exhausting) energy of youth! Doesn't chew, no accidents in the house, sleeps all night, plays and has fun pretty much on our schedule. Emma is a beauty! If you run across any potential families who may be hesitant about an "older" dog, we would be happy to tell them about our experience. None of us can imagine life without her! I am so happy you opened our minds! Sincerely, Janell, Don & Rosemary |
