April 29, 2004: Cowboy found a loving home in Chugiak with a great sense of humor to put up with his antics. His new family is very experienced with goldens and is currently working on the basics and really enjoying his playfulness. They say the best description of him is that he truly is a 76 pound puppy! They have another golden that keeps him company but this family has the commitment and the time to put into him. He is a very lucky boy! April 10, 2004: Cowboy is a big, beautiful golden; about 8 months old. He has a thick, dense coat which is indicative of having been a mostly "outdoor" dog before becoming a GRRF rescue. He does get overjoyed and excited when first introduced to people and other dogs, but eventually does settle down. Cowboy may have been undersocialized with people and other pets prior to coming into GRRF, but he is a fast learner and Sooo willing to please. Cowboy has just been neutered, so will need some time to heal. He will be moved to foster care on Easter Sunday for integration into the kind of family life that makes all goldens thrive. |
