"CHERISH" (CHERI)

7/31/07 Cherish (Cheri, and now Katie) was adopted to another loving couple with loads of family and grandchildren. Cherish adores children and was very content. She again almost always had someone with her but she does just find when left alone loose in the house. However, the newest grandchild is only 2 months old and has such severe allergies she cannot come visit grandma and all the family usually meets there. Very sadly and reluctantly they had to return Cherish. She was recently groomed at Pet co and has had her feathers and coat nicely trimmed in an attempt to help the baby's allergies. Cherish is very special to us at GRRF and we feel so bad for her. She has had two great homes but she needs to find her forever home. She is very loyal, patient and adoring. Cherish is also excellent off leash and learns new things very quickly. 10/20/06 Cherish is a 6 year old Golden Retriever cross. She has been returned to GRRF. She was originally from the local Animal Shelter four years ago. She was pregnant and lost her puppies. She tried to collect stuffed animals and toys to mother. Cherish was spayed and quickly went to a new home for two years. The daughter in the family had her and returned her as her dog didn't get along with Cherish. We then placed Cherish with a very kind retired couple and she was a very devoted and loyal companion to them. She seemed to have finally found her forever home. For two years Cherish lived the best life ever and now the couple both failing in health, have been moved to a retirement home. A dear family member and friend is fostering Cherish. Cherish is doing very well in foster care and seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs. She was always a little shy and protective of her elderly couple but with other social dogs she is totally outgoing and social. She likes to chase cats but if they do not run, she will lick them lovingly. Cherish is a smaller golden and has always been gentle and kind. She will however, bark at the door and when company comes over. She will quickly turn it off and be her calm self. Cherish has had a complete Vet check done and is in great health and has been very well taken care of. She is ready for another loving home to be her last stop for a complete family.
