BUSTER 3 (look at my perfect markings!)
|
2/6/07 Buster 3 (the third Buster we've had) is a possible Labrador/Border Collie cross. He is now neutered and is about 8 months old. He was given up and left with his owners landlords. They have been fostering Buster and would love to keep him but their's is a one dog household and they already have a GRRF dog, Gus from two years ago. Their talented son (who took classes with us for Gus) has been teaching Buster some obedience and Buster is doing great. He can sit, stand, lay down, come, "watch me" and is housebroke. Buster is calm for his breeds and age. He still acts like a teenager but he is very responsive and loves to cuddle. Buster is about 50 pounds so he is not too big. He still has some growing to do though. Buster has been with other dogs and gets along well with cats too. This is a very well nice dog that would make a great addition to any family. If you are interested please email us at info@grrf.org 4/6/07 - Buster was adopted and doing very well with his young and active new owner. He is her new buddy and they are a very happy couple!! 1/30/08 - New email from his owner. UPDATE**
I was just on your website and thought you may like a bit of an update on what Keuka (Kew-ka) is up to. He loves to hike with me and has been on numerous trails in the interior and has spent a lot of time at cabins in the White Mountains and in the Chena Recreation Area. I think you were right about the lab/border collie mix- he thinks with his stomach and will try to get into anything that might contain food (he's managed to steal food from the top of my kitchen cabinets) and he's smart and loves to herd people and other dogs (we're working on not herding so much). He's a goofy, cuddly, energetic and all around happy dog. One photo was taken on a trip to Homer. In the other he is resting with one of his favorite toys, a big stuffed frog that croaks. He often fits it into his mouth and carries it around the house. Keep up the good work at GRRF!
