Daphne a sheltie/golden retriever was returned to GRRF at Christmas time.  Her old family had an emergency move and due to circumstances they could not take Daphne.  This was a very difficult thing for them as she was a special dog for a special young man with disabilities.  She came to GRRF almost two years ago from the Animal Shelter along with Mitzie her daughter 8 months younger that her and Chance a single pup that she had at the shelter.  We placed them all fairly quickly back then and stayed in contact with all owners.  Mitzie's owners had recently mentioned to us that they wished they had taken Daphne as they would love Mitzie to have a playmate.  We called and let them know she was back and her old owners brought her, meant them and was so happy to see her go to them and be with her daughter.  The new family is extremely happy with both girls and they get along fabulously!
